Harvey Fierstein

Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too.

About Me

 Staff

Michael "Mitch" Jamison  I am the owner of Orpheus AKA Back to Basics. Over the years I have decided to be willing to work on my own issues and I have learned a lot about how emotions affect our health. It has in no way been an easy journey BUT it has been a valuable one. I am not going to  for who I am or grown to become, although I see the value in saying "I am sorry" for areas that I failed to serve others as well as I could have. I really wanted to say or "should" have, except for the fact that I chose to give up expectations and should is an expectation; like Yoda says "do or do not do".

I hope to serve not only the physical "needs" that brings many clients to the office, but also the emotional aspects as well. I strive to honor the wishes of the client. I never want to make a client feel uncomfortable by pushing their "truth" on them. I encourage all people to choose the be everything they can be, considering too, that where they are is also a choice.

I am a spiritual person and yet not a new age proponent. Everyone has a spiritual aspect as a child of God and as free moral agents can create any relationship with the God of their understanding they choose. That also brings me to the fact that I regularly attend Al-Anon(for friends and family of alcoholics) and I have allowed myself to see things from the perspective of the other person. The idea is allowing, not controlling. I have been a controlling person in the past and wanted to help people based on what "I" thought was best for them. I now see that I do my work best when I challenge others to test their own beliefs and feelings. Each individual has his or her own "truths" and those are "true and valid" in all times and spaces related to where they are/were.
